We are hiring for two positions at Silverwood! Silverwood is a women-owned business in downtown Saratoga. We are looking for reliable and friendly team members to help us thrive and grow! Manager of Inventory and Online Marketing:
15-25 hours a week/ starting at $18-$22 hour, based on experience, with room for advancement
Silverwood is a home and lifestyle store in downtown Saratoga Springs. Silverwood sells high-end gifts. decor, accessories, art, and furniture specializing in a classic equestrian, English country, and Adirondack vernacular.
We are looking for an organized and energetic individual to help oversee the ordering, storing, and receiving of our products as well as to help manage our online store and (ideally) portions of our online marketing. Manager would also have front facing customer and sales interaction- we are a small business and we all pitch in and do a little of everything when needed. The position is dynamic and keeps things fresh and new- we are always adding new items and open to trying new things, so new ideas are welcome.
Requirements:
- 15-25 hours a week (weekend availably is not required but will offer you more hours)
- must be outgoing and friendly- you will be expected to work with customers
- good organization skills and self-starting
- prior retail, marketing, or managemnet experience
Preferred:
- experience with a Point of Sale system a bonus
- experience with social media marketing. MailChimp, and e-commerce a bonus
This is an hourly job. We are generally pretty flexible with vacations and time- off needed, as long as enough advance notice is given.
Part-time Sales Associate
Silverwood is a home and lifestyle store in downtown Saratoga Springs. Silverwood sells high-end gifts, decor, accessories, art, and furniture specializing in a classic equestrian, English country, and Adirondack vernacular.
We are looking for a part-time sales associate (10-20 hours a week) with preferably some weekend availability. We expect our team members to be out-going, reliable, and friendly. Our Sales Associates are responsible for assisting customers as they shop within a store. Their duties include greeting customers, answering
questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locating items for customers. Our Point of Sale is computer-based, so you must be comfortable working with computers (training is offered, so no prior experience with our specific POS is expected).
This is an hourly job. We are generally pretty flexible with vacations and time- off needed, as long as enough advance notice is given. Hourly wage starts at $16+ an hour, based on experience, with room for advancement.
Expectations:
• Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
• Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
• Working with cash registers and processing payments
• Recommending the best products to customers
• Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing
